112 is the Emergency Number you can dial free of charge from fixed and mobile phones everywhere in the EU. It will get you straight through to the emergency services – Police, Ambulance, Fire brigade.
APP FOR EMERGENCIES
“112 Where Are U” is the app developed for calling/chatting with 112 operators.
It automatically sends your location and all the information you want to include.

In case of extreme necessity, you can go 24/7 to the Emergency Room (“Pronto Soccorso”) of Policlinico San Matteo Hospital. Take with you your personal documents and the proof of your Health Insurance (Health Card or receipt of the payment).

OUT-OF-HOUR MEDICAL SERVICE
The “Guardia Medica” is a medical service accessible during the hours when your general practitioner is not on duty.
In case of need, call the number 116117:
- Weekdays: from 20.00 to 8.00
- Holidays and days before holidays: H24

You can go to the Police Station (Questura) either for reporting any crime (24/7) or for applying for your Permit of Stay (by appointment).

UNIPASS is a subscription that allows students registered at the University of Pavia to travel freely on all buses in town and the urban area. To complete the application for the UNIPASS, please use your official university email address (name.surnameXX@universitadipavia).
COSTS
- €25 for students, PhD students and Erasmus students enrolled in the academic year 2022/2023
- €175 for graduates and final year students enrolled in the academic year 2022/2023
- The cost includes the price of the Autoguidovie card and the possibility of use on the night lines served by Noctibus on Wednesday evenings.
HOW TO OBTAIN THE CARD
- Go to the “MEMBERSHIP/TESSERAMENTO” section on pavia.autoguidovie.it. Click “REQUEST THE CARD/RICHIEDI LA TESSERA” and select the item “Request the card/Richiedi la Tessera”.
- Enter the required data, taking care to attach your photo (50mm high x 40mm wide) in the electronic form .JPG with reduced dimensions (max 2MB).
- The form asks for your phone number: if you have an Italian no. then fill out the form as it suggests. If you have a foreign no. then select your Area code from the drop-down menu (e.g. 0044 for UK).
- Once the new Autoguidovie identification card has been requested, the system will verify that you meet the necessary criteria to buy a UNIPASS, and in this case it will send you a text message to complete the registration procedure, as well as a confirmation email with the references of your new Autoguidovie card.
HOW TO OBTAIN THE UNIPASS
On the website
– Go to the section “TICKETS/BIGLIETTI”-“PURCHASE ONLINE/ACQUISTA ON LINE” on pavia.autoguidovie.it and proceed to buy the UNIPASS for the period 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2023 by logging in with the credentials received during registration.
– Check that in the drop down menu for “Type of service/Tipo Servizio”, UNIPASS is selected.
– The payment can be made with Ateneo card or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).
On the app
– Alternatively, it is possible to buy the UNIPASS directly from the Autoguidovie app.
– Go to the section “PURCHASE TICKETS/ACQUISTA BIGLIETTI” and select “RENEW CARD/RINNOVA ABBONAMENTI”.
– The payment can be made with Ateneo Card, credit card (Visa and Mastercard), Masterpass, Satispay and PostePay.
After buying your UNIPASS
– If you bought the pass online, download the Autoguidovie app from the Apple store or Google Play and register.
– In the section “MY TICKETS/I MIEI TITOLI” on the app, you will find the purchased UNIPASS ticket, which must be shown to Autoguidovie personnel in the event of a check.
Until you have purchased your UNIPASS, do not use the bus without a valid ticket. Tickets can be bought for €1.30 at newsagents or tobacconists.

University students recieve a 10% discount once a month with flixbus.it, which is valid on all FlixBus national and international services.
In order to request your discount, you will first need to recieve your unique password.
