Tuition fees

The Italian Constitution guarantees the “right to study”, a right that successive governments have interpreted as implying low student fees. As a result, Italy’s student tuition fees are among the most competitive in Europe, and they apply to Italians and non-Italians alike.

The average fee in Pavia ranges from €156,00 to €3.187,00. All enrolling students pay an initial deposit of €156,00. Students with extra-EU citizenship with visas/resident permits for study reasons will be placed in specific fee brackets based on their country of origin (See ‘Tuition Fees’ section in Forms).

To help prospective students estimate their expected tuition fees, the university has provided information, together with an online calculator, on this page.
